Just to get this bloody order of 700 prints out. Why do I do it when I don’t get paid for it and it isn’t appreciated!?

Heron eats snake eating fish
A heron got an unexpected double helping when it swooped on a snake as the reptile was enjoying its own fish meal. The incident was captured by wildlife photographer David Crooks at the McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area in a wetlands area near the Potomac River in Montgomery County, Maryland. Mr Crooks saw the Great Blue Heron dart into the water after what he thought was a...

i always credit other photographers when posting...
If i use a photo without official permission, its not for personal gain, so calm down. i post photos because they are awesome, and i want people to see them. i will always credit with a name, link to website, or where it was originally sourced from, as i would expect anyone else to do.

Aurora Shimmer
Explanation: Northern Lights, or aurora borealis, haunted skies over the island of Kvaløya, near Tromsø Norway on December 13. This 30 second long exposure records their shimmering glow gently lighting the wintery coastal scene. A study in contrasts, it also captures the sudden flash of a fireball meteor from December’s excellent Geminid meteor shower. Streaking past familiar stars...

Fleximus: A Flexible Digital Camera Concept
Fleximus is a conceptual digital camera that’s based on a flexible tube: The viewfinder of this tube-shaped camera is on one end of the tube, with the lens on the other. You can either use the compact viewfinder by putting that end of the tube to your eye, or you can attach an optional three-inch display module for a more traditional feel. The idea behind this concept is that it allows you to...

Nikon D3s
Introduction The D3s is mid-model freshening of the two-year-old Nikon D3. The D3s is the same camera as the D3, with a few new features thrown in to give it a little more catalog life. No big deal, Nikon has been doing this since the 1980s; adding an -s to a model while adding a couple of new things, like the N4004s, F4s, N8008s, N90s and most recently the D300s. Nikon’s pro DSLRs are...

Unproductive and uninspiring.
Another day another dollar, or so they say. Today way uneventful to say the least, 10 hours in the shop and it was freezing. My toes were protesting an I think were threatening to fall off. A customer thought it was acceptable to return a camera bought last month, only to buy it straight back out again to claim the £20 cashback offer that is now on… What cheek! Had a great idea for a...

Coping with the Christmas Rush.
I work in Jessops store 0429, situated in St Peter Port, Guernsey (in the English Channel). I was promoted to Team Leader (effectively assistant manager) just over a month ago, just in time for the Christmas rush. Oh, and we just hired two new members of staff, so while trying to deal with queues to the door, customers unable to use our painfully simple photo kiosks, print the photos and maintain...
